Building an honest startup is never easy, especially when the entity is involved in investments. In today’s environment, words like “holdings” or “investments” often trigger heightened scrutiny. Given the rise in scams and financial misconduct globally, this caution is understandable. Financial institutions and payment platforms have a responsibility to protect the system, and that sometimes means rejecting applications even when full disclosures are provided.
From the start, I knew choosing the name ORVE HOLDINGS PTE. LTD. carried risk. It would have been far easier to register under a more generic name. Many founders do exactly that. But I made a conscious decision not to, because transparency matters to me more than convenience.
I have been clear that the initial funds are largely my own personal capital, injected with a defined purpose aligned to why the company was founded. ORVE HOLDINGS exists to steward capital responsibly, to build ventures thoughtfully, and to create long-term value rather than quick gains. I put my professional profile in the public domain, shared complete information, and chose accountability over anonymity. These were not accidental choices; they were deliberate signals of intent.
Rejection, of course, is part and parcel of entrepreneurship. As a business owner, I understand the risk considerations behind such decisions, and I respect them. That said, I do believe there is room for common sense and contextual judgement when reviewing applications, especially when transparency and traceability are clearly demonstrated.
To the financial institutions that approved our applications and chose to place their trust in both ORVE HOLDINGS and myself, thank you. That trust is not taken lightly, and it forms the foundation of any meaningful partnership.
To those who declined, I am equally thankful for your time and consideration. Every institution has its own framework and risk appetite. However, trust is a two-way street. Just as some chose not to proceed with us, ORVE HOLDINGS will also be intentional about who we work with moving forward. We will prioritise partnerships with those who believe in transparency, integrity, and long-term thinking.
Building something honest in a cautious world takes patience, resilience, and conviction. ORVE HOLDINGS was never meant to be built quickly, quietly, or without scrutiny. It is meant to be built properly.
